In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past month, the highly anticipated 29th SEA Games has finally kicked off!
Hosted by our homeland, Malaysia, there’s practically no excuse for you to miss out the great games now happening till this 30th August 2017. We’re pretty much pumped up to catch our star athletes going all-in to bring some medals home!
Much chills. Are you hyped yet?
Just so you know, Farah Ann is our personal favourite. *wink
So, if you’re planning to catch the games this week, here are 5 things you should definitely bring along to step up the wow factor every time you start cheering for our country:
If you’re planning to skip the jam and the parking headaches altogether, we highly recommend you to catch the train to your next game!
Of course, you should always reload and bring along your trusty Touch’N Go to save the hassle of queueing in line for a ticket. If you’re absolutely new to this, simply purchase a card at your nearest convenience store.
On another note, we’ve also created this simple map on all the sports venues for you to catch on all the games throughout the month:
Not sure how to get there? Follow this guide that will tell you exactly how to get there!

The perks of watching live is usually that raw excitement you get after a great score for Malaysia. However, in a massive crowd where your chances of getting a good seat might be slim, squinting hard while staying focus on the game can be painfully exhausting.
Enhance your watching experience with a pair of handy binoculars and catch all of the action up close and personal! There's plenty to choose from, have a look and get them online here.

You probably know by now that we live in a country with an incredibly hot and humid climate all year long. That sweaty feeling can be quite uncomfortable, especially when you’re watching the games at an outdoor venue.
Try getting one of those fancy portable water misting fans for that extra cool effect, and all you need to do is just sit back, relax, and enjoy the game!

Technically, there are two things under this category but we'll just simplify them under one instead. First, let’s reiterate once again that it’s best to stay cool under Malaysia’s tropical heat. Bring along a bottle (or two) of drinking water to stay hydrated. Trust us, all that cheering will definitely make you thirsty.
While you’re at it, help yourself with some light snacks to keep yourself from feeling hungry during a match. It can be quite distracting to walk out and grab something to eat, while missing out some of the best highlights!
Got all 4 of the above in check? GREAT! You’re almost there.
Last but not least, you can’t just go for a game and cheer without our country’s flag. From large to mini flags, make sure to wave that flag wide and high to light up that patriotic spirit! Our home team will definitely thank you for that. #KamiTeamMalaysia
Now that you have everything prepared, let’s cheer and show your support at the next match! #BangkitBersama
